First Appointment for New Clients

We are so happy you have chosen Resolve for your care. Thank you for trusting us. Please schedule this appointment with at least 24 hours notice. The first appointment will be a video appointment. When you are matched with a clinician, you will receive an email with instructions as to how to get into their virtual waiting room. You will know that you have been matched when you receive an email from your clinician with details and necessary paperwork for the session. We cannot guarantee that we can honor appointments made within 24 hours of the appointment time, but we will do our very best. Part of the success of late scheduled appointments is you returning the necessary paperwork to your clinician. The paperwork needed for this appointment takes approximately 30 minutes, and your clinician will not be able to meet until it is complete. Your clinician will send you the paperwork by email shortly after your appointment is confirmed. Regarding insurance, Resolve is considered an out of network provider, as are most therapy providers in DC and nearby suburbs. This means that we collect payment at the time of service, and then we provide you with an insurance friendly receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for "out of network benefit reimbursement" that has all the appropriate codes the insurance company needs to activate your out of network benefits. Most insurance companies provide 60-80% reimbursement for "behavioral health" (typical procedure code is 90834-95) but you may want to check with your insurance company to be sure. The rate is $300 per 45 minutes payable by Zelle to payments@resolvepsychologicalservices.com. The first appointment will ideally be 90 minutes and will be considered a double appointment ($600) and subsequent appointments will be 45 minutes ($300). The first appointment is ideally a double appointment so that we can obtain a full history and go through goals, as well as get a sense of goodness of fit therapeutically, but a 45 minute appointment can be arranged instead if needed. The billing policy is to have clients pay at the time of each appointment. If you have any questions, please email or phone your clinician.
